Stay

The things we feel

we project to our surroundings

and no matter how much we love love

it will end up hurting us.

one person who’s nearly at the end

of their relationships

if they asked me, should I go

or should I stay?

I’d say, stay

until you can no longer

endure it, then

walk away.

Escaped bird that came back home

Update on the bird escape incident.

One lovebird managed to find its way home. I’m so glad she’s safe. Poor thing was starving, the first thing she did when she’s back in her cage was eating as much as she could. I don’t know if her friends are still out there or if they made it through the heavy rain last night.

Will update more if any bird makes it back. Yesterday was terrible. But today, we finally have some hope. No food. No shelter. The weather wasn’t on our side. But this one is a fighter who decided, ‘no, I will survive and there’s no stopping me.’

I need to be more like her.

Cage

My dad has been letting our lovebirds outside. First, it was near their cage. Then, it was in a sealed room. Then, he let them outside. Told us he was right, they came back.

They always come back you see.

Today he left them outside in the garden. They left. All of them. They’re stuck in the rain, cold and wet and hungry. There were moments where we thought these birds have learned that the cage is their home.

No cage is home.
